Ceramic Pen Cutter

This is a tool that is new to me - I've seen these cutters advertised online but have only just around to testing one out. Essentially they are a teeny tiny ceramic blade inside a plastic pen casing.

So, I recently picked up this super affordable pencutter on eBay from a company called Filolanf. It's got ceramic blades which supposedly last longer than your regular metal ones - pretty cool, right? I'm excited to see how it holds up over time!

I have to admit, getting used to the small blade was a bit tricky at first. It's hard to get those precise cuts when you can't see the blade properly. But once you get the hang of it, the results are so clean and sharp.

Plus, it's great for adding delicate highlights to drawings - like on the fur in this picture.

The one I got is a disposable one, but I've seen others online that have replaceable blades. I think I might invest in one of those next.

Oh, and speaking of different options, some pencutters have more ergonomic handles, unlike mine which is just like holding a regular pen.

The ones that look really good are from a company called Slice which I think will be my next purchase!

Overall, I'd say it's definitely worth giving a shot.

Just keep in mind, like with anything new, it might take a bit of practice to perfect your technique.
